Welcome back after a long week off!

Math 9 - Today, we did our quiz on Linear Equations. We also learned about how to solve linear inequalities. Section 4.8 (all written excercises) is due at the end of class on Wednesday.

WA 10 - Today, we did SC #3. We learned about converting temperature. Assignment: p. 143 #1-5 due tomorrow.

Remember: Check your thermostat at your home to find out what the termperature is. Convert it to either Fahrenheit or Celcius (whichever scale it is not measured in). This is part of question 5a.

Science 9 - Today, we learned about the awesome science blogs we will be starting, as well as how to calculate the number of atoms in a molecule.

Career 9 - Today, we learned about google tools, including Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Scholar. We also learned about Wolfram Alpha, a reference site.
 
Math 9 - Health with Ms. Abbott today.

WA 10 - Today, we wrote our second Skill Check. We finished up our assignment from the booklet (Practice Your Skills #1-6). We also started on our reviews, which are due Monday.

Review Assignment: p. 134 - Choose one question for each of the following: convert units from SI to SI or Imperial to Imperial, convert from SI to Imperial or Imperial to SI, find the surface area, find the volume, find and convert capacity (i.e. cooking units). If you get stuck on a question or get it incorrect, try a similar problem instead.

[Period 5] Today, you presented your elements and atomic models.

Career 9 - Today, we finished up our exploration of Creative Commons and looked at some cool cell phone tools.
 
Math 9 - Today, you finished writing your midterm. Health tomorrow.

WA10
  - Today, we learned about the SI and Imperials systems of measurement, and how to convert within each system.

Assignment: p. 102 # 1, 5 - 8

Science 9 - Today, you finished up your WHMIS assignment (period 3). We introduced the Plants Poster assignment. You can work in class tomorrow on your poster.

Assignment: Plant Poster due Thursday. WHMIS due Wednesday (period 3).

Career 9 - Today, we got our other passwords organized and our blog set up.

Assignment: Create your first blog post. Find a picture on Flickr that represents who you are. Tell me at least five interesting facts about yourself.
